The Year of Words: Day 300

Three hundred down, sixty-five to go.
Today's choice of archaic word was one that struck a chord with me. I remember it from my youth when an elderly neighbour commented on 'they kine in the fields' . I suspect this may have persisted much longer in west country dialect than elsewhere in the country.
It doesn't seem possible that we've reached day three hundred in a series I suspected I may have conceded by now. However, fair warning, I certainly intend to complete the remaining 65, though I may think twice before accepting such a lengthy challenge in the future.
